Im investigating the Martin Castle or Post Castle on Versailles Road because it is very neat and pretty well known, but we don’t know much about it. I wanted to find out about the Post Castle more in depth and find out what others think about it. I know that rex Martin started building the castle for his wife until they got divorced. I want to know what happened to the castle from when Rex Martin owned it and now. I also would like to know what are the future plans for the Post Castle. I would like to be able to get the neighbors perspective and the opinion of the many passer-byes. I will ask neighbors around that area on what they think. I will also ask my friends who drive past the castle on the way to school. I don’t know if I will be able to actually get into the castle because it is posted with NO TRESPASSING signs. But I am excited to see what I can find out. My goal for this project is to have a little fun exploring this castle and uncovering neat little things about it.

Your topic is really intriguing, and I'm excited to learn more about it. I can anticipate, though, that you may have some difficulties getting to the "big picture" ideas and "so what" about this topic. Somehow your investigation of this place has to lead you to some new insights into its role in the community, so keep that in mind as your eventual goal. As you uncover interesting tidbits, ask yourself "So what?" How can you make these stories matter; how can you stake an original claim about what Post Castle teaches us about community?
